The Detroit Biodiversity Network lives within the growing ecosystem of Healthy Urban Waters, a collaboration of Wayne State University researchers and community groups with the mission to engage and empower the public in creating a sustainable urban environment based on sound science.

Recently, DBN has expanded beyond campus and forged a partnership with Detroit Future City through the generous support of the Ford Fund and the Ford College Community Challenge (FC3) program.
