Location: WSU Integrative Biosciences Center
Client: Wayne State University

Goals: Stormwater Management, Orderly, Diverse

The I-Bio center hired DBN to retrofit an existing portion of the landscape bioswale installed during the buildings construction. The goal was to increase the functionality and biodiversity of the swale while maintaining a wild but managed and orderly aesthetic

Forbs are distributed into orderly rows within a matrix of grasses and sedges including Carex vulpinoidieae (Fox Sedge) and Sporobolus heterolepis  (Prairie Dropseed)
